Why did VeraIB need this?
An automotive group's figures for vehicle sales, parts and after-sales sat in a database that only people who could write queries were able to use.

A business intelligence system that takes a question in plain language, finds the answer in the group's data and gives it back as a narrative, a table and a chart.
Experience
What is it like to use?
Ask in English or Portuguese. The system looks for the figures that fit the question, checks its own work before it runs anything, and builds the answer only from the data it used.
Engineering
How is it built?
The system runs inside the group's own IT environment and answers only from its data. It can read that data but not change it, and several separate safeguards make sure of that. Before each new version goes out, its answers are checked against the same set of test questions.

The figures are no longer locked away with the few people who could write queries. People in sales, parts and after-sales can ask for them directly.
