Valverde Collection websites

Four websites for the Valverde Collection, one for the brand and one for each of its houses in Lisbon, Sintra and Santar. They share the same design system and backoffice.

Context

Why did Estoril Living need this?

The Valverde Collection brings three very different houses under one brand. Valverde Lisboa Hotel & Garden, Valverde Sintra Palácio de Seteais and Valverde Santar Hotel & Spa each needed its own website, and so did the brand. All four would share one platform, yet none could look like a copy of the others. And each hotel had to be able to run its own site.

Product

What did we build?

We started with the design system the brand and the three houses share, and presented it to Estoril Living as a bilingual concept site. The system sets the rules for colour, typography, space, motion, photography and voice. The four websites are built on it, in Portuguese and English, with a backoffice where each hotel keeps its own site up to date.

Experience

What is it like to use?

The concept site walks Estoril Living's team through the design one decision at a time, with the reasoning and sources on the same screen. Every choice was approved with the evidence in view. The houses can be seen side by side, made of the same building blocks, and they still look like different places.

Engineering

How is it built?

All four sites come from the same system. When the brand refines something they share, the change reaches every site at once, and each house keeps its own character. The colours, type and spacing Estoril Living approves in the design are the ones that go live, because design and code are checked against each other whenever either changes. Accessibility is part of the design too, and it is tested with each update.

Outcome

What changed?

The brand and its three houses now share one design system and one backoffice. Each hotel team updates its own site, and the collection stays consistent across all four.
